At a Glance

In this report we are reflecting on the third annual Gobeshona Global Conference hosted by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), held virtually from 10th to 16th March 2023, with an emphasis on monitoring locallyled adaptation (LLA) and resilience. This year’s conference intended to bring together local and international researchers, academics, policy-makers, and practitioners to encourage and engage in local communities’ good intentions and inventiveness in developing and implementing climate change solutions, as well as to track progress. The conference also sought to address research quality and take action to give research a true purpose so that publication becomes successful in response to climate impacts and LLA by fostering positive conversation and feedback among researchers. This seven-day conference included virtual sessions that ran for around 24 hours each day.
